This field guide is a quick reference on climate change for southern Wisconsin forests. The intent is to highlight key information that can be used in the field or at your desk. We hope that this guide will help land managers consider climate change risks together with local site characteristics, and also that it will help people design adaptation actions that help meet management goals. 

This field guide contains summary information updated from previous climate change assessments from the Wisconsin Initiative on Climate Change Impacts, as well as the Forest Adaptation Resources document.

We also provide tree species projections for three different Ecological Sections in southern Wisconsin, so foresters can easily find more localized information! Click here to download 2-page tree species handouts for each Ecological Section.
